Sea
Direct sailings into Port Louis from the major Indian ports. Westbound from Nhava Sheva (JNPT) and Mundra carry most of the volume; Chennai serves the south-Indian load centre; Mumbai sees occasional direct sailings depending on service rotation. The India-Mauritius CECPA has been in force since 2021. Eligibility is decided at HS-line level with rules-of-origin calculations and the right certificate filed by the customs broker. Common eligible categories include several textile and apparel lines, machinery, chemicals, and selected processed foods. We test eligibility alongside the broker on every consignment where it might apply.

For volume routed onward into Africa or the Indian Ocean islands, the Mauritius Freeport handles bonded storage and light value-add inside the zone without paying Mauritian duty on goods that re-export.
